This doesn't essentially imply that you have to change your whole lifestyle altogether and live a different life from tomorrow.   • The way you eat and drink- We all love food, but are we eating it the right way? Well, if you're someone who binges on Netflix and has your eyes glued to your Ipad, the chances are that you probably aren't a disciplined eater. Gulping down food unconsciously while watching your fav TV show is doing you so much more harm. This very habit goes against the Ayurvedic eating lifestyle. According to Ayurveda, one must be aware of what one is eating, and one must enjoy the food slowly without gulping them down. Few people also have the habit of standing and walking around while eating, and they do it to finish their fast when they are in a hurry. This is also against the principles of Ayurveda. Maintain a comfortable posture while eating and drinking. It is also seen as the respect you show towards food. 
  • Daily hydration- So, you go out on a scorching hot sunny day, and you come back home praying to your refrigerator to find yourself some ice-cold water. Sounds familiar? Well, we all have done it, and some of us continue to do it. But have you ever wondered why ice-cold water does not really quench your thirst and feel thirsty real quick? Sorry to disappoint, but it's true, ice water doesn't quench your thirst, and it also messes with your core temperature, thus disrupting the flow of gastric juices within the body. Always drink water at room temperature and drink it in a seated position. 
  • Allocate time for breathing- At this point, you probably think this is a joke. But, I kid you not. How many of us are taking time to observe our breathing patterns and consciously do breathing exercises? Well, there might be a small sector to say yes to that question. So, allow me to break this down further. The oxygen we intake is energy (Prana), and this energy circulates throughout the body to help us function. Now, when you take deep breaths, you are directing energy throughout the body, and this awakens your entire body and keeps you rejuvenated. 
  • Your wake-up routine- Ever heard of the 'Ayurvedic dincharya'? It's one of the most core and basic Ayurvedic routines. The Ayurvedic dincharya requires one to rise 2 hours before sunrise, eat and sleep at the same time consistently and do light workouts & yoga to keep oneself fit. This is the basic principle of the reputed Ayurvedic routine. Think you can follow it? Give it a try; after all, the only side effects would be a sound body, mind, and soul.  
  • Treating Illnesses- How good would it be never to take another paracetamol or any other synthetic medicine for that say? Amazing right? But is it possible? Ayurveda says yes! As per Ayurveda, you would never require any medicine to treat any illness if you eat right and healthy. So how should one eat, right? To eat right, you'll have to first find your body type and stick to a diet that facilitates your body type. Ayurveda also believes that one natural herb or another could cure most of the common illnesses we face. This is an essential aspect of Ayurveda. 
  • How you workout- Last but not least, stating the most obvious. Regular exercise must be given to the body, and there's no compromise in that. But the volume and intensity of activity that every body type must do vary depending upon the classification of body type (Pitta, Kapha, Vata). To identify your body type and do your workouts depending upon your type.
